YSRCP Full Form Is Yuvajana Shramik Rythu Congress Party. Yuvajana Shramik Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP or YCP; transl. ‘Youth, Labour, and Farmers Congress Party) is an Indian regional political party based in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Its founder and president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy serves as the Chief Minister of the state. It is currently the fifth largest party in the Lok Sabha with 22 seats.

YSRCP Full Form: Original
In September 2009, the then Chief Minister Y.S. After the sudden death of Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR) in a helicopter crash, his son Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was the sitting MP from Cuddapah, began an Odarpu Yatra (mourning march) in Andhra Pradesh, to console the families of those who committed suicide or died of shock after the death of their father. This tour was not supported by Congress’s leadership. Defying the Congress Working Committee’s order to cancel the tour, Jagan proceeded with the first leg of the “Odarpu Yatra” in West Godavari and Khammam districts in April 2010.

Meanwhile, Sakshi TV news channel and Sakshi newspaper, which are closely associated with YSR and Jagan, were constantly criticizing the new Chief Minister Konijeti Rosaiah and the Congress leadership in New Delhi. In a special program on Sakshi TV to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the Congress party, a voice-over was done on Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the “current situation” in the state, which invited anger and protest. Election Performance
In the ensuing by-elections, the party won most of the vacant seats with a record-breaking majority, with several candidates from the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party (main opposition) losing their deposits. As per election results declared simultaneously on 23 May 2019, the party has 151 members in the 175-member state assembly and 22 in the Lok Sabha (out of 25 in Andhra Pradesh). In March 2012, the YSR Congress won the Kovur assembly seat in the Nellore district in a by-election.
On 15 June 2012, the YSR Congress won the Nellore Lok Sabha seat and 15 of the 18 assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh. YSRCP leader P. Subhash Chandra Bose from Ramachandrapuram constituency in East Godavari district and Konda Surekha from Parakal constituency in Warangal district, both ministers in the YSR cabinet, had switched to the YSR Congress party but lost their race.
It lost the 2014 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections to the Telugu Desam Party, which was earlier oppos to the Congress government. A third of the MLAs who won for the YSR Congress in the 2014 elections had joined the Telugu Desam Party by 2017.
It went to the 2019 general elections by appointing Prashant Kishor, a renowned political strategist in the Indian elections, and emerged as the 5th largest political party in India. It did not contest the Telangana Assembly Elections 2018.
The party won a landslide victory in the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, winning 151 out of 175 seats, including a clean sweep of the Cuddapah, Kurnool, and Nellore districts. It is in government since 30 May 2019.
