PCI Full Form, Component of Computer, Pharmacy Council

PCI Full Form is the Press Council of India. It is a legal independent, a semi-legal body comprised on 4 July 1966 under the Indian Press Council Act, 1965. It was set up on the proposition of the First Press Commission (1954) to administer the lead of print media.

In 1975, during the crisis in India, the 1965 Act has cancelled, and the PCI was abrogated. In 1978, another demonstration was ordered, and the PCI was restored under this demonstration in 1979. Today, the Press Council of India works under the Press Council Act 1978.
